Let Us Rededicate Ourselves To The Principle That All Americans Have The Tools To Make The Most Of Their God-given Potential. For Indian Tribes And Tribal Members, This Means That The Authority Of Tribal Governments Must Be Accorded The Respect And Support To Which They Are Entitled Under The Law. It Means That American Indian Children And Youth Must Be Provided A Solid Education And The Opportunity To Go On To College. It Means That More Must Be Done To Stimulate Tribal Economies, Create Jobs, And Increase Economic Opportunities.

I Want Our Nation To Take Responsibility To Make Sure That Every Single Child Can Look Out The Window In The Morning And See A Whole Community Getting Up And Going To Work. We Want These Young People To Know The Thrill Of The First Paycheck, The Challenge Of Starting That First Business, The Pride In Following In A Parent's Footsteps.

I Never Thought Of Political Endeavors Primarily In Terms Of Power And Prestige, And I Never Thought Of Economic Endeavors Primarily In Terms Of Wealth And Position.

When I Leave The Office On January 20th, I Will Leave Even More Idealistic Than I Was The Day I Took The Oath Of Office.
