I Think That There Are Certain Principles Which Should Guide Decision-making For A President. One Such Principle Was That We're All God's Children, And Every Life Is Precious. To Me, That's A Moral Statement.

Nobody Really Likes To Be Lectured A Lot. And, Therefore, If You Want To Be An Effective Person, What You Don't Do Is Scold The Person Publicly All The Time.

I Think It's Important To Promote A Culture Of Life. I Think A Hospitable Society Is A Society Where Every Being Counts And Every Person Matters. I Believe The Ideal World Is One In Which Every Child Is Protected In Law And Welcomed To Life. I Understand There's Great Differences On This Issue Of Abortion. But I Believe Reasonable People Can Come Together And Put Good Law In Place That Will Help Reduce The Number Of Abortions.

I Appreciate That Question Because I, In The State Of Texas, Had Heard A Lot Of Discussion About A Faith-based Initiative Eroding The Important Bridge Between Church And State.
