In A Perfect World, I

Peter Sarsgaard, He's An Extraordinary Actor, And I Would Say That Peter Has Really Brought Into My Life And My Sister's Life A Sense Of Presence As An Actor That I Never Really Understood Or Knew About Until I Met Him. They've Been Together For A Very Long Time, And He Introduced Me To The Idea Of The Presentation.

I Love 'training Day' - That's A Great Movie.

We Are All From Different Cultures. Heath's [ledger] Australian, Really. I'm From Here. Ang's [lee] From China. But I Think Ang Gets Very Close In Preproduction And Rehearsals. And Then He Allows His Actors - I Don't Think Scared Of Actors, But I Think He's Scared Of Getting In On The Scenes He's Watching. The Space He's Watching. So He Just Totally Disconnects From You While You're Shooting.

I Had Not Spent A Ton Of Time Around Animals As A Kid.

You Have Formal Rehearsal, A Lot Of Things You Don't Have In Movies - Which Is, You Have To Formally Rehearse. You Have To Know Your Back Story, Discuss It, And Almost Everybody Onstage Has To Know Each Other's [story], So That When It Comes Time To Actually Do It, You Can Throw It All Away. That's The Way I Like To - And I Didn't Realize Until Very Recently - That's The Way I Like To Prepare For Movies.
