I Don't Want To Face The Reality Of What People Want From A Female Pop Star. Everybody Always Laughs Because I Feel So Much More Comfortable With, Like, A Giant Paper Bag On My Whole Body And Paint On My Face. Sometimes I Try Really Hard To Take It All Off. But Inevitably What's Underneath Is Still Not A Straight Edge. And I Don't Think It Ever Will Be.

You Have To Fail And Then Get Better. Then You Have To Fail Again, And Then Get Even Better.

I Don't Consider My Own Clothing To Be Outrageous. The Truth Is That People Just Don't Have The Same References That I Do. To Me It's Very Beautiful And It's Art, And To Them It's Outrageous And Crazy.

I Hope To See Women Thriving And Happy, Loving What They're Doing, And Being In Control And Powerful Of What They Create. I Guess What I Would Say Is, As Much As We All Love The Fashion And The Makeup And The Glamour, This Isn't A Beauty Pageant. It's About The Heart And The Drive And The Work. Of Course, It's Lovely To Dress Up And Compliment One Another And Feel Good - But That Shouldn't Be The Very First Thing.
