I Have Been To Iraq On A Number Of Occasions. I Was With The First Group That Went In.

Memorial Day This Year Is Especially Important As We Are Reminded Almost Daily Of The Great Sacrifices That The Men And Women Of The Armed Services Make To Defend Our Way Of Life.

One Of The Great Joys This Year And The Year Before Has Been How All Of The People In This Body, Men And Women, Republicans And Democrats, Have Worked Together So Well With Our Chairman And The Chairman Of The Full Committee To Address The Issues Of Housing For Our Soldiers.

What Our Men And Women In Uniform Are Doing Is Providing For The Iraqi People And Other Surrounding Nations The Opportunity To See, To Taste And To Experience The Democracy That Equals Freedom And Ultimately Justice.

We In The Majority Have Worked Hard To Empower People To Create Opportunities, To Make Jobs, To Do Things That Turn America Into A Place Where People Can Achieve Their Dreams.
