Books Are Cool, But Knowledge

If I Think Of The Audience Too Much, Then I'm Going To Start Catering To Them...and It Turns Into Entertainment. And I've Got Time For Entertainment; I'm Just Not At All That Interested In Doing It Myself. I'd Rather Go For Some Pretty Raw Expression.

If There Was A God, He Wouldn't Let A Guy Walk Right Up And Shoot You In The Face Now Would He? That's Right, Now You Get The Picture. Truth Burns Doesn't It?

I Can Say That American Men And Women In The Military Are Damn Impressive.

I Would Like To Get Out To The Region In The Caspian Sea. I Would Like To Go There. I Would Like To Get To Darfur. I Would Like To Get To Khartoum In Northern Sudan. I Would Like To Get To Zimbabwe. I Would Like To Go Back To North Korea, If I Could. I Would Like To Go To Yemen. I Would Like To Get To Kashmir. Most Of Those Destinations I Will Get To.

All My Big Heroes Are Literary, Writers. I'd Love To Meet Jimmy Hendrix Or John Coltrane, But I'd Much Rather Meet Thomas Wolfe, Or F. Scott Fitzgerald. Words And Books Have Always Meant A Lot To Me. That Someone Can Take Words And String Them Together To Where They Will Move Me Is Just A Hell Of A Thing. It's Amazing To Me; More Amazing To Me Than Music Or Painting. It's Always Been The Written Word Or The Spoken Word, Like A Great Lecture Or A Great Lyric, Or A Great Poem. To Me It's Just Amazing. And I Always Aspire Toward Capturing That, Or My Version Of It.
